Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 June 2026
SomaticEcho is a voice practice for restoring ease. We built it on a simple principle: you are the source of your own signal, and you stay in charge of what is yours. This policy explains, in plain language, what data the SomaticEcho app handles, how it is handled, who else touches it, and the choices you have.
In this policy, "we," "us," and "SomaticEcho" mean SomaticEcho LLC, 2801 Cleveland Blvd, Louisville, KY 40206 — the operator of the SomaticEcho app. If you have any question about anything below, email support@somaticecho.com.
What we collect
Account information
When you create an account, we collect the information needed to sign you in and keep your practice yours across sessions — for example your email address and authentication credentials. This is handled through our authentication provider.
Your voice, during a session
SomaticEcho is a spoken practice, so the app uses your device microphone while a session is active. Your speech is streamed and processed in real time so Echo can understand you and respond. Your raw audio is never stored — it is processed in the moment and then let go. We retain the working text of the conversation and session state needed to run the practice and to let you pick up where you left off, as described below.
Practice and usage data
To run the practice and improve it, we keep records of your sessions — such as the conversation, the state of your practice, your preferences, and basic technical information about how the app performed (for example, app version and error diagnostics). Some of what you tell Echo is kept so it can carry context between sessions; you control this, as described under "Your rights."
How we use data
- To run the practice — understand what you say and respond in real time.
- To keep your account and let you continue across sessions.
- To remember the things you have asked Echo to carry, and only those things.
- To keep the service working, secure, and reliable, and to fix problems.
- To improve the methodology and the app over time.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your conversations to advertise to you.
Who else processes your data
Running a real-time voice practice means a few trusted service providers process data on our behalf. They act under contract and only to provide their service to us. These currently include:
- Speech recognition — to turn your speech into text in real time (e.g., Deepgram).
- Speech synthesis — to give Echo a voice (e.g., ElevenLabs).
- Conversational and methodology models — the AI services that power Echo's responses (e.g., Google / Gemini, with Anthropic as a fallback).
- Database and authentication — to store your account and practice data securely (e.g., Supabase).
- Hosting and infrastructure — to run the service (e.g., Render).
We choose providers that commit to handling data responsibly, and we share only what each one needs to do its job.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and practice data for as long as your account is active, and as needed to provide the service. Your raw audio is never retained. When you ask us to delete your data, we remove it as described below. We may keep limited records where we are required to for legal, security, or backup reasons, and only for as long as needed.
Your rights
You own what is yours. You can:
- Change what Echo carries — update or correct what Echo holds about you by telling it something new, through the practice itself.
- Access your data — ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Delete your data — ask us to delete your account and associated personal data.
- Withdraw consent — turn off any optional recording at any time.
To exercise any of these, email support@somaticecho.com. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA; we honor those rights — just reach out.
Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data in transit and at rest. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe and to limit who and what can reach it.
Children
SomaticEcho is intended for adults. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe someone under 18 has provided us information, contact us and we will remove it.
Not medical care
SomaticEcho is a wellness practice. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition, and nothing in the app is medical advice. If you have a health concern, please consult a qualified professional.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, give you notice in the app. Continuing to use SomaticEcho after a change means you accept the updated policy.
